Coach Bob AndersenFirst, train smarter...

First, train smarter... everything else comes after this. If intelligent training is your starting point you will experience profound results.

Bob continues to work with athletes of all ages and abilities. He specializes in performance training and injury prevention. His training philosophy encompasses physical as well as psychological components to improve the whole athlete. He believes that building a better athlete is at the heart of performance training and this belief manifests itself in a balanced approach to training that suits each athlete's need and goals.

Training philosophy --- this concept of no pain, no gain is archaic, primitive, and rooted in ignorance. By training smarter, you can forgo this silly mantra and learn to challenge yourself in a way that your body can adapt (not break down). Let me be clear, it's not easy. But it doesn't have to feel like punishment. Learn to listen to your body. Learn to use your most powerful muscle, your mind, to challenge yourself, find success, and challenge yourself again. It's through this Challenge-Success Cycle that you grow in strength, develop skill, and build the confidence necessary to achieve your goals. The challenges you give yourself may not always be pleasant, but you will be better for them. You should never judge the quality of the workout by how sore it makes you.ere...
